Cognac Details + Vintage Scarf

You can definitely tell there's been that seasonal shift in light. Autumn evenings are really effective at making me look completely devoid of all skin pigment. It's also right around the time that I start reaching for any and all neutral pieces in my wardrobe. I've made it a goal this year to not go into a six month color-hibernation like I effectively did during last winter. Warm cognac accessories are a happy medium - they're definitely still a neutral, but at least add a little depth and a bit of a brightening effect to an outfit. Not to mention it's a very 70s neutral and we all know how I feel about that!

This outfit still felt like it was missing something, so I pulled out my vintage scarf that I picked up at the Rose Bowl years ago. Ever since I dyed my hair blonde, I've been incorporating more and more red into my wardrobe. It's always been my favorite color, but somehow I find it easier to wear with my lighter locks. I have a feeling you'll see a lot more of it this season.
