01.01 Leopard Print & Field Jacket

I tried to take advantage of the magical and oh-so-elusive fall sweet spot where you can get away with bare legs and a jacket/sweater. It's always such a fleeting time in New England and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is the last chance I get before I have to break out the tights.

As you may know, I'm a complete sucker for leopard print and was immediately drawn to this dress. It's one of those pieces that can so easily be dressed up or dressed down. Obviously I went for the latter here for a casual date night. I actually kind of dislike the overuse of the term 'date night' when you've been living with someone for so long. It's really just a weekend night with that person you spend all your time with where you may or may not go out to eat. Exciting stuff!

Actually, both of us realized sometime the next day that our 'date night' was in fact our 6 year anniversary. I know some people try to be all laid-back and pretend like they don't remember anniversary dates because they're just such a cool couple. That's not in any way what I'm doing here - we just completely, 100% forgot. Ahh, true love. (Or perhaps subconsciously we forgot because, holy hell, 6 years??? We're so old!)

  1. This is the perfect outfit! Yes, there are too few days in New England's fall when you can wear both a coat and have your legs bare. So take advantage, they will be gone soon!

    1. I know, it's so cruel! I plan to fully embrace fall regardless because sort of warm or not, it will still be better than winter!
