Sportsmanlike

I think aside from weddings, I hardly dressed like a girl this summer. There were a lot of jeans, button-ups, flats and other masculine inspired pieces. A couple weeks ago I threw my feminine side a bone and started wearing heels again, but for the most part I lived in these perforated leather slip-ons, fully embracing the sporty-chic style of the summer. And don't even get me started on this sweater because I could write you an epic poem in its honor. Mostly it was thrown on in the evening and every time there was at least one compliment. It's decidedly retro, like an old prep-school sweater, but with just the right amount of plunging neckline to keep from going 100% tomboy.

And yes, it is a total knockoff of a certain rag & bone sweater. However, I succumbed to the siren call of a far more reasonable price tag and was then happily surprised to see it's made in America. So I guess I only feel so guilty...

  2. Knockoffs happen. They are part of life and fashion, and we are all guilty. Sometimes we don't even realize it! Being made in USA definitely makes this okay. Plus, this is a really cute outfit.
