January Blues

Michael Kors Coat (similar here & here) / Zara Checked Scarf / Shamelessly Sparkly Crystal Burst Earrings c/o / Madewell Marled Cardigan / Target Cobalt Jeans (similar here) / Forever 21 Stud Booties (similar here) / JustFab Hepburn Bag

Oh January, you have made your presence known. It’s been quiet around these parts because the new year has wiped me out a little. It all started on the first when we had to bring Troy to the emergency vet and  continue keeping an eye on him the next day or so (he’s seemingly completely fine now). Then I made a quick trip down to New Jersey for a friend’s engagement party. Naturally afterwards I came down with a cold which is always oh-so-fun. So thanks a lot, New Year!

And speaking of cold, as is to be expected this time of year – it’s frigid. I’m really trying to make a point of staying stylish during our single digit (or below) temperatures, but it definitely requires many layers and oversized garments. I have a feeling there will be some hits and some misses on the blog this month. Hey, I’ve got to re-learn somehow!

On a final note: if you’re anything like me, you could use a little pick-me-up now that winter is really rolling. A couple months ago I stumbled across the shop Shamelessly Sparkly and fell in love with all their jewelry (as well as their ridiculously reasonable prices). I got in contact with them to see if they could offer you guys a little discount code and they happily agreed. So head on over to the shop and enter in the code PALESHADOW for 15% off!

Disclosure: I’ve ordered a couple pieces from Shamelessly Sparkly on my own prior to this collaboration. They sent me these earrings to style, but all thoughts and opinions remain my own.
