New England Camouflage

F21 Coat (similar here & here) / J. Crew Factory Gingham Shirt / F21 Striped Sweater (similar here & here) / Madewell Skinny Skinny Ankle Jeans / L.L. Bean Boots / Target Socks via James (similar)

The other day was a picture perfect overcast day (no sarcasm) which naturally called for classic pieces and earth-toned attire. I’m pretty much checking off all the New England style boxes with this outfit: stripes, gingham, double-breasted coat, Bean Boots, sweater, warm socks. To be honest, I feel as if I’m dressing like James here. He skews much more preppy than I tend to. As a matter of fact, when he came home from his classes that night we were talking about our respective days when I noticed he wasn’t – ahem – staring me in the eye. Naturally I was all, “Excuse me, mister, my eyes are up here!!” Only his response was, “Sorry, I just looking at your outfit. I like it.” I suppose that’s acceptable.
