When you get your first big snow and said snow lands on a weekend, you wind up in hibernation mode. Doing all of the following:
-Eating food. So much food. Here’s the recipe for Buffalo Chicken Dip. It’s a wintertime crowd pleaser.
-Marathon television binges. Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Law & Order (original series, obvi).
-Teaching myself to knit (again). Because that’s obviously the best way to procrastinate from finishing a crochet project that I really need to finish…
-Definitely not taking outfit pictures because I draw the line when it’s in the low-teens out.
-A quick grocery trip is always necessary. Bonus points if you have awkward run-ins with parents of kids you went to middle school with who silently judge the fact that you’re not married yet. Ohh right, you live in a small town now which is sort of akin to living in 1952.
-Shoveling. Yep, forgot about the shoveling when we discussed the pros and cons to moving back east. Definitely forgot about the shoveling…

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Please share with me what you did! Especially if it involves food. Because I’m in the mood to just keep stuffing my face until the new year!
You just described my weekend to a T. Including running into said judgemental parents. They couldnt grasp the fact that my 2 year old brother is, yes, my brother, and no, I'm not married yet!
ReplyDeletewow I just can't imagine what it must be like to have that much snow! I love knitting, you totally reminded me I should start it again.
ReplyDeleteShoveling? Who does that? it's so much better now that the entire driveway is just one giant slab of ice.
ReplyDeleteAnd Yum. I love buffalo chicken dip!
Chic on the Cheap
