Black Blush

Tinley Road Faux Leather Sleeve Blazer (similar) / James Jeans Twiggy in Cameo / Sam Edelman Mariel Booties / JustFab Hepburn Bag / Shamelessly Sparkly Bib Necklace /Forever 21 Fedora (similar) / Gifted Sweater / Forever 21 Sunglasses

Normally blazers take up permanent residence on my body this time of year, as you never really need much more than one in Los Angeles. Sadly, I’ve yet to figure out how to comfortably layer them under a winter coat, so they’ve taken a backseat in my closet. However, the other day was warm enough (read: probably mid- to high-40s) where I could get away it! So my beloved wardrobe staple came back out to play for a day. I’ll have to work on how to wear them with coats without feeling like a balloon.

Other parts of my life have been mostly mundane for a little while now. James is still immersed in studying for finals and, like most areas, we’ve had our first snow which makes me want to stay inside, drinking coffee and watching Doctor Who re-runs. My brother is getting into the series, so I’m happy to watch them all over again. Particularly because I’m getting amped up to meet the new Doctor (who I think I’m going to love based solely on this image of Peter Capaldi, beast!).

  1. Ooh love that blazer! Reminds me of a Burberry one I wanted :D I know what you mean, I get tired of carrying my blazers to work since they won't fit under most of my coats.

  2. Recently, it's been so cold in Southern California! My winter outfit used to be a tank top and blazer, but now I've been having to layer up and wear my sweaters more often.

I really like your booties and the gold hardware on the heel!

  4. that is a great blazer - the contrasting sleeves are fab. I always layer mine under my coats - it's blazer season no matter where you are.
