Stripes & Camo

Lands’ Ends Boys Down Vest / Gap Camo Front Zip Jeans / Old Navy Crew Neck Sweatshirt / Forever 21 Striped Top / Modcloth Booties (similar here & here) / The Sak Iris Satchel / Forever 21 Sunglasses

Let’s talk about this vest for a minute because I think it’s the first time I’ve showcased it on the blog. So last year I had my heart set on getting a blue puffer vest and not spending a gazillion dollars on those J. Crew ones everyone was wearing. I found a semi-similar one I liked on Lands’ End, but was weary because everything I’ve ever gotten from their women’s department runs really big. So I was even more excited when I found a kid’s version and immediately ordered up a big kid (they have little & big kid clothing sizes) size large. Get it. Try it on. Promptly give it to James to try on because it’s massive and guess what? Fit’s him like a glove.

Long story short, James and I now have matching puffer vests in kid’s large and kid’s small. Moral of the story? Lands’ End is for giants.

  3. HA! NO WAY! I literally spent an hour at the mall today with my husband, determined to find a puffy vest for under $50, and I couldn't find a single one! I never thought about checking the kids section, haha! But it makes sense! I'd totally fit into a little boys vest!

I love this outfit, btw. Love love love camo so much lately, this vest over the layers is just perfect for fall. :)
