Holiday Style: Gilded Age

Oh yeah, I’m going there. After all, this is Veteran’s Day weekend and that’s basically the gateway into holiday overload. So why not start getting festive now? And guys, I’m feeling the season cheer this year because there will be precisely zero airports, plane rides, and getting gifts 3000 miles across the country in one piece for this girl this year. None of it!

Besides, I’m easing you in because all I really want to talk about is holiday style. Specifically, the things you can only get away with wearing around this time of year. And right now, I am loving a nice, flashy metallic gold statement piece. It’s the best way I can think of to dress opulent and like a Christmas ornament at the same time. Obviously that’s what you should be going for this time of year. I’m also pretty sure that it’s human nature to love shiny thing; thus, everyone at the holiday party will love you. Logic!

  7. Haha I'm so not ready for the holidays, but it's probably time for me to deal with it and be ready! I LOVE gold (my wedding ring is gold!), so I definitely think it is a great color for the holidays!

  9. I love gold, and I too feel like it's almost only appropriate to wear anything gold during the holiday season. I can't wait to bust out my golden belt and maybe buy a metallic cardigan to spice up my basic LBD :-) I love the collage you made! The dress is a little over-the-top for me, but I can definitely feel the accessories! xo
