If around game 3 of the ALCS in 2004 (as the Red Sox were losing miserably to the Yankees) you had told me that in the next decade I’d witness three Red Sox world championships, I would have laughed in your face in that way only a 17 year-old can. Last night’s win was met with much less fanfare on my part and more awe. 2004 was just downright shocking to the system. 2007 I was in the city and at Fenway pretty much all. the. time. (How I passed all my courses that semester, I’ll never know!). 2013? A quieter sort of admiration for the little team that could. Scrappy and scruffy all the way. God, I love those Sox.
Terrible segue, commence: This is pretty much a basic fall outfit for me on those days when I prefer not to think too hard about it. I pretty much wore these leopard flats into the ground last year, so I’m trying to preserve their integrity by only wearing them every now and then.
Oh! And before I forget! I don’t know how you all prefer to follow along these days, but I made a little Facebook page for the blog if that is more your speed. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it quite yet. But you can visit here and like it if you so please.
Okay, alsooo: Happy Halloween! May you all be sugar-high by the end of the night!
