chambray dress: J. Crew (identical Factory version), boots: Hunter, belt: J. Crew (similar), hat: handmade, necklace: Forever 21
This outfit turned out very ‘Downeaster “Alexa”’ (you need to watch that video, never has the accordion been featured with such drama!). I feel like I should be in Gloucester working the docks or something. Though I suppose a knit hat and rain boots will always sort of look that way. Also, please excuse my hair situation. These were taken a couple days back when the weather was this weird combination of humid, cold and rainy. Thus the frizz. There’s also the fact that I needed a deep condition like you wouldn’t believe…
Just call me the frizzy fisherwoman.
The dress is pure love, looks great on you and I like how you put everything together!

Thanks Kristina! I need to find more ways to style it because this is pretty much the best I've come up with so far. ;)
DeleteI feel like it's always humid, and my hair never wants to cooperate anymore. Stuffing it under a hat is as good an option as any!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to complain because I know I'm the silly girl who's been living in a desert climate for the past four years and doesn't know from humidity. But I'll just say... hats are currently a must!
DeleteI love this look! The hat is such a great finish. Pfft, your hair doesn't look that frizzy, if anything it helps with the total look :D

Haha, thanks! I need a trim, so I've been over-scrutinizing my hair recently.

ReplyDeletefollowing you now on gfc, maybe you want to do the same? :)
Thanks, Sammie! So glad you stopped by! :)
DeleteLove it! Almost makes me wish for a humid, rainy day.
ReplyDeleteOh take it back! Haha, one should never wish for humidity! ;)
DeleteYou should try Amika:Nourishing Mask on your hair! I just dyed my hair and used it so I wouldn't fry my hair and it smells amazing and my hair is so soft!
ReplyDeleteOoo, thanks for the tip! Your hair looks amazing btw, so I'll definitely try that out.
DeleteAha Melina your Outfit gives me happy memories of camping with the Girl Guides, we all wore Beanies and Hunter Wellingtons to keep our feet dry on the damp grass.
