This unique flat has popped up all over the place this summer and I predict the trend will carry strong into the fall. A little bit more edgy than the traditional ballerina flat, it pairs perfectly with everything from jeans and a tee to feminine dresses to even office wear. The d’Orsay flat is one of those items that I feel would be an easy way to reinvigorate the rest of your wardrobe with just one item.
Recently I’ve been drooling over all the color and fabric options of the Chinese Laundry version, specifically the black faux snakeskin version. Of course you could always shell out for the real Jenni Kayne version that started this whole trend, but since I’ve even seen decent variations on Forever 21 (that sell out almost immediately), it’s pretty easy to find a nice pair for far, far less.
