things of wonder on this monday

{James was positively mesmerized by what is quite simply one of the greatest treehouses we’ve ever seen}

Today was so Mondayish it was almost a cliché (see, it just took me three tries to properly write the word ‘cliché’).  But in the interest of keeping up with my blog all the time in February, here are some things floating around my mind on this lovely day:

-My hair was frizzy today for some reason.  I almost forgot what that was like (dry climate), but dude… not sure that’s a look I can pull off now that I’m in my mid-twenties. (Frazzled is totally acceptable in college, duh.)

-I am determined to find us an apartment with a washer/dryer in the unit.  Determined.

-Also, the prospect of moving has me wanting to watch so much HGTV.  Thus I have discovered that the boys in this apartment do not share my enthusiasm for such television programming.

-James and I have matching puffer vests (his pictured here).  I wore mine today.  They are both from the children’s department.  I regret nothing!

-The youngest person I know to have a baby on purpose just had said baby.  This makes me feel so. old.  Have you had this moment in your life?  Let’s commiserate!

-Ice cream should be involved in every Monday night.  But don’t skimp and buy the generic cookie dough or else you will be left with a  :|  face.

-It should also be noted that ice cream causes the most gigantic food baby stomach.

-I would like to fall asleep in about – ohh – twenty minutes, so I’m going to officially call this post finished because Monday standards!

  1. Beautiful photo!

  2. Totally going to go grab my Ben and Jerry's Half Baked now!

    And that treehouse? Is AWESOME.

  3. that is a truly awesome tree house! I bet the happiest kids in the world live there.
    and yeah. when your friends start getting married and having babies and you are still living with your parents it makes you feel like you are gettin super old and also an epic failure.
    Chic on the Cheap

    1. Yep, totally! I have to constantly remind myself that it's totally okay that I live with my boyfriend.... and a roommate... and sometimes I feel like I live in a frat. It's totally cool that you're married with a family and a mortgage and an adult life, I'm SO fine with that.

Let's chat. What's on your mind?
