I had a Forever 21 gift card that was kind of burning a hole in my pocket… and you guys, Forever 21 has some really cute things right now. Just a couple of those items that will give a little oomph to your existing closet. Hidden gems among the sea of polyester and weak seams you find in that store.
Might I share with you?
You want to hear a sad story? The only pinstripe shirt I’ve ever had, I accidentally shrank in the wash. Washing machine disasters are among the saddest of stories, no? (Dear god, please catch the tongue-in-cheekness!) So this bad boy will do quite nicely since it actually covers my whole torso. And it’s 100% cotton. Aww, look at F21 being all grown-up-like.
Obviously these boots are knockoffs of these, but they don’t cost the equivalent of the average family’s yearly earned income, so I say they’re pretty damn good knockoffs for the price. Not to mention those metallic flats have… real leather insoles (???). Umm, next you’ll be telling me F21 is no longer selling anything with the title “bodycon” (phew, those train wrecks are still there!).
Also, I mean: bee earrings. I don’t have the words to describe how giddy these make me (but that’s probably because I used up all my adjectives writing for work today). However, I do think earrings are the new bracelets… though maybe that’s because my wrists are sort of over “arm parties”.
Now onto some other delights!
-During the Kennedy Center Honors, there was a crazy good arrangement of Stairway to Heaven (my father was all, “This is gonna be like bad karaoke…” WRONG!) performed in honor of Led Zeppelin. I’ve heard it on the radio a couple times this week and apparently it’s now available on itunes. Check it out though, so good (c’mon take 7 minutes out of your day to watch Robert Plant weep with emotion and Ann Wilson looking fabulous)!
-This dress is really, really pretty and on super sale. Just saying…
-New blog I discovered this week and can’t get enough of.
-Old blog I’ve rekindled my love for.
-Another one of my favorites posted about taking a Myers/Briggs personality test. I’ve taken three different versions so far and have consistently scored without any significant preference toward any of the personality traits. I have no personality. Do you?
-Django or Les Miz? Which should we choose this weekend?
-This bookshop is right down the street from us and we’ve never been. I believe that needs to be remedied in the next couple days.
That’s all I’ve got for ya! Have a fantastic weekend!!
