Adventures in Yarn-Related Psychosis

In what I am deeming a most ridiculous fit of me temporarily losing control over my emotions, today I had a very moving moment while surfing the internet for…

…sock yarn.

Ohhh, the inner-workings of my mind. I’ve been knitting and crocheting up a storm recently. Naturally this means I have two projects that are about an inch-and-a-half done each, but that’s a storm to me, apparently!

{Clearly I am far more proficient in one needle craft and not the other…}

Next up on my list is learning how to knit socks and did you realize that yarn intended for sock use has all these lovely variegated colors? And there are so many options??

And then I went on Etsy. And found my yarn spinning soulmate.

That yarn is called Vincent and the Doctor. And it is beautiful and Doctor Who related. Then I realized all of the shop’s yarn is beautiful and many of them have the BEST Doctor Who names. And then I felt so happy that someone had created a yarn colorway inspired by one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes that I almost cried. Cried right at my work desk… because naturally this Etsy search had happened on an internet tangent that I swear started off work-related.

Luckily I was able to keep my shit together (if there were colors related to this episode though, I would have lost it right then and there), but I would just like to say:

Owner of Quaere, you have beautiful yarn that has apparently moved me to almost tears, I will be purchasing some when my knitting skills progress past the long strings of cusses that it currently resides at.

And sorry that I have creepily fallen in love with your store.

xoxo,

Melina

Also, does anyone want to teach me how to knit socks?  Those averse to unnecessary swearing and tears need not apply.
