Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

Apparently it’s been a full week since I posted and goodness that just doesn’t feel right! In a way, last week was one of those weeks where, without realizing it explicitly, I was evaluating everything. Not in a foreboding way or in a particularly exciting way, but you need to take stock sometimes and I think it’s quite hard to write in any sort of self-aware manner when you’re doing so.

However, I’m back. Hey, how are you?

We had a really lovely weekend.

I realize that there is a back to back account of my weekends up on the blog now, but remember this does also function as an open-letter journal of sorts. I tend to get impatient with Los Angeles and wish I were back in New England, but these past couple weekends I’ve been trying really hard to appreciate the small things our little area of the city has to offer. We haven’t nearly made the most of what’s around  us so we’ve been trying to catch up a bit. Bike rides to the park and around town. Walks at night through the neighborhood with the big houses (which happens to lead us to only the most romantic fine dining ever: Chipotle).

I envision a looming lazy summer with much of the same, and I am a-okay with that.
