Bonjour! Can I take your picture?

trench&stripes1trench&stripes2

sleeveless trench: Forever 21, jeans: Zara (similar), top: Old Navy (similar), scarf & sunglasses: flea market, shoes: Old Navy (similar)

I was going for a sort of French-casual-chic-cool vibe, but of course James was all, “You look like a photographer.”  Which took me a moment to process until I asked, “You mean like on a safari?”

“Yes.”

You win some, you lose some.

This has, admittedly, been a weird week.  One of those one’s that could easily be sad, but instead it leaves you pondering how important it is to appreciate each day and how the present is all we’re ever guaranteed.  I realize I’m being vague, but I feel like it’s not my place to say much more.  As corny as that particular life lesson sounds, I think there’s value in taking a few days every now and then to remember to truly appreciate life in the moment.  We all get so bogged down by work and chores and living that sometimes we forget to take count of all the great things around us.

Really, I think that’s why a lot of us blog, right?  To celebrate and remember the little things in each day.

As much as I’d love to end on a serious note, I also have to mention that my place of work is right underneath this cookie factory (factory?) and hot damn, they make the most decadent concoctions e-ver.  Should you get the opportunity to work underneath a cookie factory, do it!

  1. indeed it is. blogging helps you remember the little things and to be grateful for the every day.

I'm really starting to warm up to the sleeveless trench as I've seen it around more. I'll have to go check them out before they're all gone!
