Shorts, Tights & Utility Jacket

PinspirationWeek5

In ending this week of Pinspiration, I decided to go for a super low-key look.  I took my inspiration from the blog Mariannan because her looks are always effortlessly stylish.  I very rarely go for the tights-under-shorts look, but figured I’d give it a shot since this outfit is so safe to begin with.  The brown tights were subbed in after my black tights just ended up looking out of place.

Anybody have big Super Bowl plans this weekend?  I’ve been instructed by my die hard Patriots fan boyfriend that we are not having a party.  Just a couple people over to watch, but mostly this will be a semi-spiritual experience that is best observed without fanfare.  I guess back in 2007 (the last time the Pats were in the championship… and lost in a devastating fashion) James went all out and had a Super Bowl party and then when they ended up losing he wandered the streets of Boston aimlessly for two hours.  This was before we met, but something tells me even the presence of his longtime girlfriend won’t stop him from doing the same should they lose again.  So out of respect for him, even more so than my own fandom… here’s hoping for the best!

Though I did finally convince James this morning that we were definitely having food during the game.  That crazy originally was all, “No food.  I won’t want to eat!

Uhh, well I will

…I might need to scrounge up some Xanax for him this weekend.

  3. I've tried the shorts over tights look a few times, but I think it's cuter with dressier shorts. at least on me anyway.

I'm just going to a super small party, and there will be buffalo wings. my mouth waters just thinking about them.
