Corduroy, Denim & Contempt for Technology

Sometimes I come up with brilliant ideas for posts while I’m in bed, about to sleep.  So I type them into my phone and save them up for a day, such as today, when I really don’t know what to say.  You can imagine my dismay when, upon opening up the notes section of my phone, I see that all the notes I’ve written for the past two and a half months have just disappeared.

And then I was sad.

I’m sure whatever late night ramblings I had weren’t as good as I thought at the time.  I’m sure a lot of them didn’t even make sense, but seriously iphone, how rude!  I once had a professor in college who told us we should always carry around a little notebook and pen to put our ideas in.  After all, he said, if you drop it, step on it, even get it wet, you can still salvage a notebook.  A notebook generally won’t up and erase all the things in it either… generally.  Perhaps I should take heed and go analog.

But that is just so much less convenient.

Ahh technology, you crazy, addictive bitch.
