Tidbits: Rose Bowl Flea Market

rosebowl

On Sunday, James and I went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.  One of the laws of the flea market that I’ve now forgotten about twice is that no matter how cold it is when you wake up, it will surely be 85 degrees once you get there.  So bring some damn water next time and perhaps remember that, no matter how often you dress for fall weather, SoCal doesn’t care.

Regardless, it was actually really fun.  I wasn’t in the market for anything specific, so it was nice to just stroll around and take in the general atmosphere.  There are serious amounts of interesting going on at the Rose Bowl, that’s for sure.

{shoes with some gorgeous details that were unfortunately not in my size, mannequins I thought were kinda cool, fantastic selection of men’s shoes, beyond gorgeous sequin dress, bitchin’ adventurer hat, colorful laces}

{I finally understand the antler thing- a day late & dollar short as usual, owls: something I actually loved before they were cool, a cheetah or jaguar or leopard that sort of shocked and fascinated me, a chair that had no price or owner to be found… and then I was sad, being a creepazoid and taking pictures of the skirt patterns I liked}

I think it’s funny to look back at my first trip to the flea market about a year ago – back when this little bloggy was in its infancy.  I get this weird feeling like a lot has changed, but then a lot hasn’t (in life and with my blogging).  However, it really just makes me happy with my decision to start blogging.  It’s nice to have a collection of memories in one form or another.
