The Dog Days Are Over

I have two outfits from some super lazy days where I committed the style blogging crime of taking pictures in a mirror.  Apologies to those I have offended.

You don’t even have to see my shoes because I literally didn’t wear any this day.  Yep.  I stayed home all day.  I’m awesome sometimes (except not anymore… read til the end should you wonder why).

button-up shirt: Gap, skirt: Forever 21, belt: James’, bracelet: gift

These two outfits are really nothing to get excited over, but I’m keeping it real in here… not every day of a 30 for 30 can be a glamorous photo shoot kind of day (because I’m normally super glamorous, ya know).  You’re bound to get a couple [or many] of lackluster outfits in the mix.

skirt, tank & belt: Forever 21, cardigan: thrifted, moccasins: Minnetonka

Now on to my other news: I got a job!  Hooray!  For, you see, it’s been quite a long time since I’ve had something that wasn’t temporary.  This is obviously good, but it’s super hard to transition from looking for work/having lots of free time to being inundated with all the information you get during that first week of a new job.

I imagine I’ll be a less than awesome blogger this week and next, but I really do want to remain consistent once I’m settled in.  Blogging has actually become such a creative outlet for me that I’d hate to see it fall by the wayside just because I’m 9-5ing it these days (okay 9-7… 8ing it).

  1. Congrats on getting a job! :D

& the Forever 21 striped skirt, simply beautiful. :) xx

  2. Yay for getting a job! I remember when I went back to work after not working for 6 months and my only thought was, "But what about blogging!?"

  3. I love the humor in your blogs. Its so great! haha congrats on getting a job! I love your outfits! Its simple yet chic! You look great!
