The Sweet Stylings of Ennio Morricone

Before we get into the meat and potatoes of this particular day of my 30 for 30, I implore [beg!] you to listen to this (ya know, to set the mood): For some reason this particular outfit put this song in my head all day.

day13day13-4

Yeah, I don’t know why I’m insane and just spent two and a half hours figuring out the least obnoxious way to get that song to you, but for some reason this outfit just needed to be accompanied by me humming that tune all. day. long.  And then we, naturally, proceeded to have a Kill Bill marathon later that night (which is a fabulous way to spend a weeknight, might I add).

day13-d2

Originally I had wanted to wear the scarf and just the dress, but thinking of interesting ways to wear a scarf is not  one of my fortes and after much too long I just decided to wear my chambray top and use the scarf as a belt… under another belt.

And then I felt like I was in a western.

Also, I am so incredibly behind on these outfit posts too.  It’s been a busy week and I sort of wasn’t in the mood to blog either.  I definitely have time this weekend to get back on track though.  So stay tuned!

maxi dress: Old Navy, chambray top: Aeropostale, paisley scarf: thrifted, belt & boots: Forever 21, necklace: gift

  1. i like this outfit - it reminds me of the j.crew spring look book one with the skirt and chambray top and belt over a scarf.

and i'm loving your light too!

I haven't watched kill bill in years.... it always seems like there are too many new things to watch to take the time and rewatch old things.
