Blue Jean Baby

day10day10-8day10-5

Yes, I did the corny thing and put that as my title.  But did you really expect me not to?  Didn’t think so.  It’s pretty much a toss up as to which pop culture reference of Tiny Dancer is the best.  On the one hand, you have that scene in Almost Famous that is just too good for words and pretty much makes me attempt to crawl into the television just so I can be a part of it.  However, on the other hand?  Phoebe (in Friends, as if I have to tell you) interpreting the lyrics as ‘Hold me close, young Tony Danza’ and proclaiming it as her pick for most romantic song ever.  There’s such a level of acceptance in that little scene (along with hilarity) that it sort of melts my heart.

day10-d2day10-3

All that said, I am also just a sucker for the lyrics people hear in songs.  As in, when they sing the wrong words.  Gah, I just love it!  Oftentimes it’s such a unique interpretation of the music and I think it really shows you something about that person.  Then again, I am prone to over-analyzing.  All. the. time.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but in that last picture it sort of looks like I’m wearing that belt like all the stylish pregnant girls do.  I assure you beyond assurances, nothing but food babies here people.

Also, this is between a highway and a grocery store.  It’s seksi, I know.  James is very much not content with just taking my pictures on the roof (where no one can see us).  Basically in the couple weeks he’s been helping he’s single-handedly forced me to do away with all shame and just suck it up when people walk by.  I guess it is LA and I’m sure people have seen far worse things.  I just sort of have this weird fear that people will think he’s taking headshots.  I don’t know why that’s the grossest offense in my book, but I think it’s because I don’t want people thinking I think I’m awesome enough to be an actress.  Nope, just awesome enough to be a blogger (tongue in cheek, people).  Is that worse?

Probably.

It's funny when people mess up the words of a song, I by the way only learn the right lyrics so I can sing a nice song in the shower ;P
