happenings

This week just sort of flew by, didn’t it though?  I suppose short weeks have a tendency to do that.  Poor James has been working all hours of the night (more so than normal) editing stuff for his job, which leaves me sitting here waiting for him to wake up so we can get this Saturday on the road.  So here are some thoughts via the Instagrams I have taken this week.

First up: chocolate covered pretzels… for serious, there are few things on this green earth more fantastical than these bad boys.

Also, I realized I have a little OCDness bred into me from when I was a youngin’.  You see, Jurassic Park came out when I was at a very impressionable age and we used to get a huge kick out of biting pretzels into the shape of its logo (that is literally the only picture I could find of it, but I remember this was the logo people, trust me!) because, you know, we were five or six years old.  Apparently this is still how I eat my pretzels.  Apparently this is also weird.

In other news proving I’m tipping into insanity: kitty pictures!

I just cannot resist sometimes, but it’s okay, you can call me a crazy cat lady.  I accept it as an eccentricity of my personality.  I’m just going to pretend it makes me quirky.

But also in non-insane, marginally productive news:

I am very nearly done a crochet project that I am excited to show you upon its completion!  It has taken me for e  v e r, but I’m hoping it will be worth it in the end.  So you will have to stay tuned for that!

Finally, last night the boys were both gone and  I decided to have a dance party (which mostly involves hopping around on the good foot when one is still tentatively broken) by myself.  Because I am secure enough to be that awesome.  Except I am probably a dozen years too old to have a personal dance party.  So maybe that’s not awesome?  Anyway, I found an iTunes gift card from Christmas that I forgot about and decided to download Lady Gaga’s new album even though I was somewhat skeptical, but I’m super glad I did because it makes you want to have a dance party by yourself and therefore be awesome (by my standards at least).

I’m really digging the first track off of it because it reminds me of 90s dance music.  Sort of like La Bouche (or even Le Click… aahhh 90s pseudo French names and ridiculous music videos).  So I will leave you with that, just bear with the so-so intro and you’ll see what I mean:
