Floral Frocks Combat Monday Blues

Sometimes I really feel like starting a long week off with a bright outfit can do wonders for your outlook.  Not that I have any hard facts to go on here, just that if you at least feel somewhat cute on a Monday, the day can’t be all that bad.  So last week, in the name of science, I wore this happy Modcloth dress with a happy pink cardigan and, even though I was as exhausted as I always am on a working Monday, it’s hard not to be perky in such a get-up.  So I think we’re ready to move on to clinical trials here… next Monday find something cute to wear and report back!

In other news, I am currently in the midst of preparing the 30 items of clothing I will use for my 30x30 challenge.  There’s something really exciting about restricting the size of your clothing choices and I’m hoping to find ways to be more creative with what I already have.  It’s kind of funny because at first James wanted to do the challenge along with me.  I found this amusing, but it turns out he thought it was more an exercise in doing laundry.  He assumed your 30 items included socks and underwear and little details like that…  Not so much.  He probably doesn’t even have 30 articles of clothing he wears on a regular basis.  Boys…

However, I am really excited that he gets to work during the day for the next three weeks!  It will be like we’re actual normal people, with normal schedules.  What a novelty!!
