the radio reminds me of my home far away

Do you ever just see something and think to yourself that it is a crime against nature that it is not in your possession?  For this is the feeling that swept over me when I saw this little dress posted over on Stacey's, from Love & Photographs, store.  Now this may make me seem materialistic or self-indulgent, but really I am just a girl who saw a dress that was a personification of her personality and quite possibly even her soul.  You don't blame the moth for it's attraction to the flame; it's just nature people.

Dramatic much?  Luckily it was at a fantastic price and it was right before my birthday and I'm pretty sure it's perfectly acceptable to grant yourself one birthday wish (no?).  So within seconds of seeing it, this dress was in my proverbial online shopping cart.

I feel like if I wear it enough times I will find myself frolicking at a summer concert in the 1970s, possibly with long, blonde hair a la my mother and maybe a 70s-looking, shaggy haired version of James (humor me people, a girl can dream).

It was also nice to finally find something to wear this sort-of-denim vest that I dug out of the surprisingly (okay, maybe not that surprising...) ginormous pile of clothes I still have in my room back in New Hampshire.  I remember being drawn to the Sgt Peppers feel of it, but it was too short to look good with anything back in those super-low-rise pants days.  However, it actually hits at my true waist and when you have a not so overwhelmingly defined true waist it is a useful item to have in one's wardrobe (or so Stacy and Clinton have said).

Definitely another example of me being totally ready for a long, California summer.
