you'll do much better baby on your own

Okay, I know I'm super behind on publicly making this connection, so don't assume I'm thinking I'm brilliant over here.  However, Lady Gaga's new song sounds a lot like Madonna's Express Yourself (one of my favorite of Madge's. Le sigh, remember when she was all pseudo British?).  Now I'm not here to pass judgment on that fact or hate on Lady G because I'm totally down with her stuff.  The problem is that I don't know the lyrics to her new song and now I've got this sort of mash-up of the two songs going on in my brainplace.  In fact my brainplace has been taken over by late 80s dance music for a good week now.  Over and over and over and I don't know if you remember the late 80s dance scene (clearly I do since I was a toddler), but it's a little sensory overload.  My brain is tired and yet it still keeps singing.  I'm beginning to feel like I'm on crack.  80s pop star crack.

Totally unrelated to pop music, I am definitely super happy with my purchase of these shoes awhile back.  They're the perfect combination of Keds and oxfords and just oh so comfy.  They originally appealed to me because they looked like the perfect airport shoe (they are), but they've since become a staple in my wardrobe.  I highly suggest getting a pair for spring/summer.  And, no, I'm not being paid by Steve Madden to say this (I wish though, right?).

  3. Lovely outfit, the gold necklace against the navy of the shirt is a beautiful combo, as well as the shorts. :)
