Jeffrey Campbell- SS 2011 Lookbook

I was chatting with one of my very best friends today and platform heels came up (we're such giiirls).  We both remarked, with horror might I add, that there's a rumor circulating that kitten heels are coming in style and the glorious resurgence of 70s sky-high beauties are on the way out.  I don't know who kitten heels look good on, but it is most definitely not the general public.  Anywho, as an act of defiance, I had to turn to Jeffrey Campbell's spring/summer 2011 lookbook to feel better (though I did spot a pair of kitten heels in there... and, no, I don't want to talk about it...)

Can I start off by saying how much I love the photography?  Gorgeous locations and tones!  I love soft photography and generally in the mainstream fashion magazines you get really hard and sharp images.  These are just so much more romantic!  Also, I don't really enjoy the notched wedge that's featured on a bunch of the shoes, but the light pink Brisbane Low is actually super cute in a sort of subtle, western way (I guess I'm loving their whole ode to Americana vibe in general).  Then of course there is the pièce de résistance (à mon avis):

The Butterfly.  A more glorious wedge I have not seen.  The lower-than-ankle height capitalizes on the clog trend, but in a way that is so much more adorable and so much less hey-I'm-wearing-fancy-Crocs (sorry, I have yet to find a true clog that inspires me).  So, I leave you with that.  My faith restored.
