Flea Market Inspiration

Flea Market Inspiration

Oh Polyvore... I forgot how insanely addicting you are.  Anyway, I re-entered the Polyvore world to try and help myself get organized.  For you see, this weekend James and I are going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market.  Something we've managed to miss every second Sunday of the month since first coming to LA back in 2008.  Hearing the rumors that it's ginormous and always packed, I figured it might be a good idea to go in with a plan lest I wind up with random stuff I never knew I needed.

Most of this stuff is actually just my 'Lusting After' list.  However, yesterday I bought myself a lovely little catch all bowl (for like a dollar!) to organize my jewelry and I realized that all of it has gone MIA.  (I think it may have had something to do with a cat, disobedience and moving no less than five times last year).  So topping off the list of potential flea market finds:

-Costume Jewelry
  •  big, several stranded statement necklaces that will make my outfits look put together with minimal effort on my part
  • gold bracelets consisting of unique textures (Ummm, I realize that most people would cringe at that ribcage cuff, but because I never ever ever went through any sort of gothic, emo phase, I think it's amazing and it would work fine for me... Think I can find a 20 cent version?)
  • deep, jewel toned earrings that I want for the upcoming holidays
I'm hoping this is a real flea market where I can pay $6 for all of this and not like some of the 'trendy' flea markets closer to Hollywood.  Also, should I find a furry vest (I'm thinking more Penny Lane than Nanook of the North), vintage dresses (in 60s colors or 70s cuts) or boots that walk a thin line between work boot and Victorian riding boot (yes, I'm dreaming) all for less than $20, I wouldn't exactly say no to them either.
